For Chelsea, rapid managerial change is the norm. In spite of working miracles last season, Antonio Conte looks doomed at Stamford Bridge, and has done so since the beginning of the season. Conte was reportedly upset at Chelsea's recruitment - or lack thereof - over the summer, which left him with an infuriatingly errant Alvaro Morata and a curiously useless Tiémoué Bakayoko.
He has clung to his job, but reports today suggest that Conte will leave at the end of this season. According to Matt Hughes of The Times, Conte will leave at the end of the season, with Chelsea like to replace him with Atleti's Diego Simeone.
Simeone's arrival is not guaranteed: the paper cites his obsession with coaching Inter Milan and his lack of English as stumbling blocks to a move to London. Other options for Chelsea include Napoli's Maurizio Sarri and Juve's Max Allegri.
Conte, meanwhile, is attracting interest from PSG and Inter.
Conte is going to be busy in January, however, and looks set to seal the £15 million signing of Ross Barkley from Everton, a deal in which Everton have been royally screwed. Barkley was on the verge of a £30 million move in the summer, only to renege on the deal at the last minute. Everton then took him back, paid him but didn't play him at all, and following a four-month outlay on his wages, are going to cut a deal with Chelsea for half the original fee.
Chelsea are also interested in taking Andy Carroll on loan, because football is the game that keeps on giving.
