Antoine Griezmann will announce his future destination today with the Frenchman finally set to confirm if he is staying at Atlético Madrid or leaving for another club, as he continues to be linked to Barcelona.
In a bizarre move, Griezmann has called the video announcement #LaDecisión. It is a move similar to the notorious Lebron James documentary 'The Decision', a TV special aired when James announced he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for Miami Heat. The show was poorly received at the time and James later said he regretted doing it but rating wise, the show was a huge success.
"Estaréis hartitos por los comentarios que dicen si me voy, si me quedo, cuánto me dan... Pero la verdad es la que voy a decir ahora". #LaDecisión de @antogriezmann, hoy a las 21.15h SÓLO en @cero. pic.twitter.com/lZOb47itC6

Griezmann is a known NBA fan and has been linked with a move away for quite some time now, with Luis Suarez suggesting the deal was already done on Uruguay radio last month. The timing of the announcement is an odd one, given France have their opening World Cup game on Saturday morning.
I quite like Griezmann, and I'm not a wide-eyed romantic or anything, but the timing of this - like the Bale and Ronaldo stuff after the CL final - is ridiculous, and appears to be something of a depressing trend. https://t.co/v35HCfnF0v

I know he's a huge NBA fan but didn't he learn anything from LeBron and "Decision" debacle. Embarrassing. https://t.co/KnnX2JxCOQ

The whole Griezmann "The decision" carry-on is pathetic. Nobody cares where you play any more mate.

Lebron James’ The Decision was melodramatic, immature, and became a punchline.
Antoine Griezmann will never reach the importance and production level of a 25-year-old Lebron, and his attempt to mimic him is more cringeworthy than his Fortnite celebration. https://t.co/uevj8TNARb— Breaking The Lines (@BTLvid) June 14, 2018
Does seem that a production company owned by Pique has produced Griezmann's 'decision video' - filming two different endings...

The show will air at 21.15pm, live on Cero.
