Manchester United fans have been longing for France striker Antoine Griezmann from afar for some time.
It's easy to see why, as the Atletico man has proven his ability as one of the best attackers in the game over the past two years, coupled with the fact that he has flirted with United on more than one occasion.
Griezmann's younger brother is a huge Man Utd fan, and this has gotten the fans in a frenzy before, most recently back in April when he tweeted "Glory glory Man Utd" and the supporters took it as a transfer hint.
But now there's no brother, no cryptic tweets, but just Griezmann directly admitting that he regularly asks his good friend Paul Pogba about Man Utd. Speaking to Sky Sports earlier today, the Frenchman revealed his curiosity towards working with Mourinho and how things are at Old Trafford, but then claimed that he had no intention of moving soon.
I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United. I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure.
I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they're really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.
You hear a lot of things [speculation] about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don't see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.
What a tease.
United fans would be best advised to not get their hopes up, as while there does appear to be clear interest from Griezmann side, and we saw from Bastian Schweinsteiger what having a younger brother who loves the club can do, a deal is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
Manchester United being unable to guarantee Champions League football being a potential stumbling block, the Atletico forward also seems very happy with his current situation.
But as Cristiano Ronaldo once said when it looked certain he would leave Old Trafford... "The future, no one knows."
