A fortnight ago, Anthony Stokes was one of the heroes for Hibs as they won the Scottish Cup with a 3-2 win against Rangers.
Stokes scored twice in the game, grabbing the match's opening goal and an equaliser to make it 2-2.
The Dubliner was on loan at Hibs from Celtic.
He still harbours ambitions of again regaining his first team place at Parkhead under new manager Brendan Rodgers.
If he is deemed surplus to requirements, as he was under Ronny Deila, Stokes does have options.
Hibs won the Scottish Cup under the guidance of Alan Stubbs. The 44-year-old since decided to depart Easter Road to take up the manager's job at Championship side Rotherham.
According to the Sun, Stokes is one of the players Stubbs wants to join him at Rotherham.
Stokes could be a replacement for another Irish international - Leon Best - who Rotherham this week after rejecting a new deal with the club.
