Anthony Stokes has only played two games for Celtic this season. The last of those appearances was in a 3-1 win away to Dundee United way back in August.
In August, Stokes was told by manager Ronny Deila that he was not in his long-term plans. A move away from Celtic was rumoured at the time but never materialised.
If he has any chance of making Martin O'Neill's squad for Euro 2016, and you'd have to say it's pretty unlikely that he will right now, Stokes requires regular first team football.
The Dubliner is close to securing that with a loan move to Hibs, the club he joined Celtic from in 2010.
Anthony Stokes won't be in Hibs squad at Falkirk tomorrow. Passed a medical at training ground today but deal not quite over the line yet.

The possibility of the 27-year-old joining either Dundee United or Inverness had also been mentioned but it seems the player prefers a move to Edinburgh.
Given his tweets earlier this season (for which he was suspended) about having to sit in the stands at Inverness, and endure the 'lovely weather', perhaps it's not really surprising he has opted for Hibs.
