The case was scheduled to go to trial on November 22nd, but Stokes plead guilty at an arraignment hearing on Thursday evening.

Stokes admitted a charge of assault, causing harm to Anthony Bradley, and will now be sentenced on December 20th. In the mean time, Stokes has been released on continuing bail.

The Blackburn Rovers striker is in the first of a three year deal at the club, having joined from Celtic after spending most of last season on loan with Hibernian. His last appearance for Ireland came in a 4-1 win over the USA back in November 2014.
