Celtic striker Anthony Stokes has been arrested in relation to an alleged assault of a 42-year-old Elvis impersonator named Anthony Bradley in Buck Whaley's nightclub on Leeson Street back in June.
According to the Irish Independent, Gardai have shown the player CCTV footage of the incident where Mr. Bradley apparently suffered a broken nose and chipped teeth.
He can be held for an initial period of six hours but this can be extended further.
Stokes captained Celtic to a 1-0 win over Liverpool in a pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
UPDATE:
According to the Irish Independent Stokes has since been released by Gardai after questioning in relation to the incident.
