Thursday brought us news that Keiren Westwood and Callum O'Dowda could be on the move this summer; with Premier League clubs interested in Westwood, and O'Dowda a target for Preston.

Friday brings the turn of recent Ireland cap Jonny Hayes is a target for Wigan Athletic. Wigan, with Will Grigg and Chris McCann, were promoted back into the Championship after just one season in League One. The Latics are looking to strengthen, and there are reports in Scotland linking them with Aberdeen winger Johnny Hayes.

Aberdeen fans aren't overly surprised - but a significant number of them have taken to twitter to protest/laugh/cry at the transfer fee that is being reported - a measly £500,000. The Edinburgh Evening Express was reporting that Wigan have already lodged a bid for the 28-year-old, who was shortlisted for the PFA Scotland player of the year award.

Hayes has two years left on his contract at Pittodrie, and the paper is reporting that Wigan will have to make a big offer to acquire Hayes.

Maybe they should listen to the Aberdeen fans to see what they think of the offer for the one-cap international:
