The French, with their abundant pace up front against a group of Argentine defenders reeling with Post Mbappe Stress Disorder, were coasting against Argentina during their last-16 tie. Argentina had created virtually nothing throughout the game, but when the French dawdled and refused to close down Angel Di Maria outside of the penalty area, the PSG winger let loose an incredible, curling effort that beat Hugo Lloris from 30 yards out.
