Ange Postecoglou will be the new Spurs manager, with reports on Monday afternoon stating that both parties have agreed on two-year deal, with an option for further season.
Fabrizio Romano is among those stating that the deal is done, with Daniel Levy pinning his hopes on the Celtic boss as the man to turn around Tottenham's fortunes.
While it is an intriguing appointment from a Spurs point of view, the decision isn't being universally welcomed by Bhoys fans.
Since taking over at Celtic Park in the summer of 2021, Postecoglou has been worshipped by the green half of Glasgow, not only for his trophy-winning abilities, but also for the way he has embraced the culture and history of the club.
While the domestic treble was sealed on Saturday, following on from a Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup double that was won last season, it's the words that the former Australian coach uses that has really captured the hearts of Celtic fans.
He has previously cited his own experience as an immigrant in Australia, having been born in Greece, as a way in which he can relate to a Celtic fanbase that has significant roots here in Ireland.
Celtic fans react to Ange Postecoglou news
The respect shown by the 57-year-old has been replicated by the Celtic fans, that is until the reality of his move to North London has become more apparent.
It is being reported on Monday that Postecoglou has agreed to take the Tottenham job, leading to some Celtic fans performing a u-turn on their soon-to-be-former manager.
He has been called out by some supporters for turning his back on the club, while others have compared the situation to that of Feyenoord boss Arne Slot, who turned down a recent approach from Tottenham.
Some have gone as far to say that Postecoglou is no better than Brendan Rodgers, who has become a hate figure for leaving for Leicester City in 2019, just as Celtic were closing in on a third consecutive treble.
Ange isn't any different to Rodgers. Played us with his words and spare me that badge thumping pish at the weekend. A project undertaken and left 50% complete for once the board have backed everything and anything he wanted.

Saying you can’t knock back a club that size coming from Celtic is nonsense…Feyenoord manager managed it quite easily and you can’t tell me it’s not a similar level up

Ange Postecoglou heads for Celtic exit door
An image shared on the official Celtic Twitter account, of Postecoglou with the three trophies he won this season, has led to a slightly more sympathetic response, with some fans expressing the heartbreak at the decision, and their thanks towards their hero.
Whatever way Celtic fans feel, it's unlikely that a "big six" Premier League club are going to come calling very often, and the Spurs opportunity looks like one that Postecoglou should be grabbing with both hands.
Despite this, there could be a frosty reception in some sections of Celtic Park, if the two clubs happen to cross paths in Europe over the next few seasons.
