During a tour of Anfield on Tuesday, two men decided to go on a bit of a wander. It's unlikely they thought that decision would turn into news for sporting outlet around the world.
Anfield evacuated is a rather dramatic headline but that's what happened and the police were called in to search the stadium top to bottom. As of last night, the two men in question were not found but police were confident that they were not in the stadium with the presumption being that they were a bit sick of the tour and left via the back door.
However, the damage was done. 'Anfield evacuated after men go missing' is the kind of story that social media falls over itself to get on top of and sure enough the obvious but necessary jokes quickly rolled in.
And can we just make a point of addressing how incredible that picture of a matching Rodgers and Allen is. Truly wonderful stuff.
