Andy Gray strikes again. The Scot has become infamous for his 'proper football man' views on beIN Sports, recently discussing Liverpool's hiring of a part-time throw-in coach.
The confidence he has in speaking about subjects he clearly knows very little about is astounding, and this was on full display once again today.
Gray was looking at the goalkeeping situation at Burnley, where Sean Dyche has three first-team quality goalkeepers to choose from. Clearly having all three at the club will not be sustainable in the long-term, and one of the players will likely have to be sold.
But which one? The pundit gave his opinion on the situation. Listen to this nonsense.
"Tom Heaton - young man" (actually 32)
"Joe Hart who's.... what 35+" (actually 31)
Why let facts or research get in the way?

Yes it would be difficult to walk away from promising young goalkeeper Tom Heaton, aged 32. It will be especially difficult to let him go in favour of keeping elder statesman Joe Hart, aged 31.
Gray rarely lets actual facts get in the way of the opinions he holds. For a person who is paid to talk about football, he regularly shows a clear lack of understanding of the modern game.
With football punditry becoming more and more in-depth and nuanced in terms of the arguments that are made, the beIN Sports team are clearly a throwback to the previous era, and not in a good way.
