Amongst the guests on last night's Late Late Show on RTÉ One was former Manchester United player Andy Cole, who joined Patrick Kielty for a chat.
Cole, who appeared on the show looking extremely laidback, discussed his prolific career on the pitch as well as his kidney disease, which he has suffered from after he contracted an airborne virus in 2015.
Six years ago, Cole's nephew donated his kidney to him after he realised just how debilitated the ex-United striker who made nearly 200 appearances for the club was.
"I was basically sleeping for fourteen of fifteen hours in a day," Cole explained to Kielty.
"Getting up and walking was a chore. I'd gone up to something like seventeen or eighteen stone with all the water I was holding. It was a difficult time.
"I'd played football and been fit all my life and then all of a sudden a random illness which has changed my whole world came around."
Andy Cole reveals details of hospital visit from Roy Keane
When he was in hospital his former captain and good friend Roy Keane came into pay a visit, a memory which Cole recalled fondly.
"Roy came in, he brought about five car magazines.
"I remember the nurse said to him 'if you can Mr Keane, don't make him laugh', the stitches were very tight in my stomach.
"He said 'yeah, yeah, no problem' but within about five minutes he had me rolling around. I was in so much pain but Roy being Roy he continued to make me laugh.
"I've always had a fantastic relationship with him, he was an unbelievable captain. Away from the football pitch he's always had time for me."
Both Cole and Keane are now currently appearing on Sky Sports as pundits for the stations Premier League coverage.
