These days getting lost while driving is a very rare occurrence – thanks to sat navs, Google Maps and what not – but Andre Wisdom did a great job in managing to make a pig's ear of his trip to Derby County's Pride Park on Saturday.

The Liverpool defender, currently on loan at Derby placed a little too much faith in technology by continuing to adhere to his sat nav's instructions, despite the fact it brought him down a road so bad you wouldn't even see its like in Leitrim.

Wisdom was forced to abandon his Porsche Panamera Turbo after it got stuck a small pothole.

A source from Derby County told the Daily Mirror:

'Andre visited a local shop on the way to Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday and, being new and unfamiliar to the area, he programmed the stadium's postcode into his Sat Nav.

'The route provided took him down a less than traditional road, where conditions were also poor.'

The phrase 'less than traditional' would seem to be a bit of an understatement. A mountain biker discovered the car after Wisdom had abandoned ship Saturday morning and rang the club for a lift.
