Ander Herrera is one of those footballers that really knows what the fans want.
It certainly helps to be playing well, and the Spaniard is currently one of the very few players, along with Antonio Valencia, that appear to have found form under Mourinho, but Herrera is someone who appreciates the finer things in football that seem to go unappreciated by many pros.

We first saw this when he told of his excitement at travelling to Yeovil Town for an FA Cup match in his first season (where he went on to score a sensational goal), but also in his honest assessment of United's recent performance at Anfield.
But new quotes have come to light in the aftermath of Wednesday night's Manchester derby in the EFL Cup, via ManUtd.com, and United fans are absolutely loving them.
I like these games.
When you are a Manchester United player and you know the history of this club, you have to respect the games that are for the fans.
I feel it like them. I know I am not English and I am not from Manchester, but I really love this club and I have enjoyed my time here. I don’t want to be just one more player. I want to show that I am very happy here and I want to be here for as long as possible.
You can see it in the way he plays too, one thing that he absolutely not be accused of is not caring.
Understandably, United fans have reacted very positively.

Just when you thought the fans couldn't love him anymore.
He does appear to be one of the first names on the teammsheet for Jose especially in big games, the matter of finding a regular partner for him is proving to be more difficult, however.
