Liverpool and England right back Trent Alexander-Arnold claims people are giving a "lazy opinion" to claim he isn't a good defender.
Alexander-Arnold has come in for strong criticism from pundits for his performances for Liverpool this season, as his form hasn't been at it's best, alongside several of his Liverpool teammates.
There is no denying what he provides going forward, and is one of England's most creative players in the squad. Since making his debut in 2017, the defender has made an incredible 45 assists.
For Liverpool, the incredible vision and passing ability is a key asset for Liverpool in terms of starting attacks and set-pieces for Liverpool, but his defensive problems have been heavily highlighted this season as Liverpool have fallen behind their biggest rivals.
There was speculation he might not have even made the England squad, but injuries to Reece James and Kyle Walker further ensured his place in the squad. However, he has been out of favour in the starting line up under Gareth Southgate, with Kieran Tripper and Kyle Walker so far preferred.
Alexander-Arnold On Criticism
Speaking ahead of England's last-16 tie against Senegal this Sunday, Trent Alexander-Arnold has criticised those who provide a "lazy opinion" of his defending.
👎 “People watch me with a preconception that I can’t defend.”

"It's the lazy opinion, it's the lazy things they say. People who can't watch the game and see what they want to see. There's kind of that prejudice in the game now.
You see what you want to see at the end of the day. If you go to watch a game and you have this perception that a player is lazy, and you see them once not running, then in you're mind their lazy.
You don't see the rest of the game where they are running around, sprinting around trying to do their thing. People go into games or watch me play football with a preconception that he's not a good defender or can't defend well.
When I do have that one mistake or that one time someone gets past me, than that confirms what they think. At times it feels like it doesn't matter how well I do."
An incredibly honest assessment by Alexander-Arnold, who on his day is seen as one of the best right-backs in the world, and has been vital to Liverpool's success under Klopp.
