This economy across Europe is so much in the shitter these days that even Alex Ferguson is having to travel half way across the world to find employment.
Seriously though, the former Manchester United manager has been appointed to a long term teaching position at Harvard. Ferguson will lecture senior executives as part of their upcoming 'The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports' program.
Ferguson has said 'I’m delighted to have the opportunity and privilege to contribute to such a respected centre of excellence.'
He is of course no stranger to the business school, having been the subject of a case study carried out by one of their professors in 2012. Regarding his new role, Fergie also said:
The time I have already spent at Harvard has been a stimulating experience and I look forward to developing my relationship and activities with the students, faculty and friends of the Harvard Business School community.
The programme runs 7-10 May this year, so if it may rule out any chance of him taking over from David Moyes for the rest of the season, should things go tits up. Not that he was ever going to do that anyhow but you know how people have been gossiping.
