Alan Pardews says that he is "open-minded" about Joe Kinnear's position as Director of Football at Newcastle United.
Talking to BBC Radio Newcastle, Pardew said:
"I'm very open-minded to Joe's position. I will take it as I see it.
Well he should be when you consider that Kinnear is "head and shoulders above every other Director of Football" and that he also has his finger in the football pie halfway around the world.
Pardew also says that Kinnear has apologised for getting players names wrong in an interview with Talksport last month.
Some of the things Joe said he has apologised for, especially getting the names wrong of our players.
That needs to be corrected because there is a certain respect needed there.
I spoke to one or two players and my staff here and made them very aware of where the position lies.
