Alan Judge is yet to play for Brentford this season but has still been the subject of speculation this transfer window.

The Ireland international suffered a broken leg against Ipswich back in April. It was an injury which not only ended his club season but also his chances of going to Euro 2016. He hopes to make his comeback for Brentford at the end of this month.

Up until the injury, Judge was having a remarkable season for Brentford, scoring 14 goals and adding 11 assists in 38 Championship games. It was form which saw the 28-year-old make his Ireland debut in the March friendly against Switzerland.

Sky Sports today linked Judge with a move to Brighton and Newcastle during January. The midfielder is out of contract this summer and Brentford were said to be considering cashing in now rather than losing Judge for nothing later this year.

However, according to the player himself, there is nothing in the speculation. He has not spoken to Brighton, Newcastle or anyone else about his future.

Newcastle were also linked with a move for Judge during the summer, though that did not materialise. Brentford manager Dean Smith said that the move fell through as Judge was not as far along on his return to fitness as his suitors originally thought.
