Alan Browne gave a Man of the Match performance as Preston North End drew 1-1 at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Ireland international gave his side the lead shortly before half-time with a sweet strike from the edge of the box.
After Brandon Barker found the 23-year-old in the D, Browne brilliantly maneuvered himself into enough space in which to shoot. A super strike found the bottom left-hand corner of fellow Irishman Darren Randolph's goal.
It was Browne's sixth league goal of the season. He also scored and provided two assists as Preston beat Blackburn 4-1 on Saturday.
On the game clock, Preston's lead did not last long. Marcus Tavernier equalised for Boro shortly after the break.
Speaking after the game, Preston manager, Alex Neil, said that his side should have won.
"We’ve hit the post, had one off the line, Alan’s goal was a fantastic one and there is the moment where Brandon Barker is clean through in the first minute," Neil told the Lancashire Evening Post.
He also praised Corkman Browne.
"Alan Browne has shown in the last two games why he is a man I rely on so much."
