Preston North End continue to be welcoming to all seven of the Irish players who are under contract at the club.
Midfielder Alan Browne has signed a new three-year deal at Deepdale after signing from Cork City in January 2014.
Although Browne has only featured once for Ireland - as a substitute in a friendly against Mexico this year - the midfielder has played 116 times for North End.
He spoke to Preston North End's website,
I think every year since I've been here, I have agreed a new contract and it is great for me to know that the club is putting that confidence in me and hopefully I can return that to the club.
I have come a long way since I joined. There have been a lot of ups and downs and it has just been great for me overall to progress like I have and now to continue to do so under the new manager is something exciting for me.
The new deal will see Browne stay at Deepdale until 2020 and he will be hoping to be a mainstay in the team again for the upcoming season. The midfielder featured 31 times in the Championship last year.
The latest Irish player at the club is League Of Ireland sensation Sean Maguire, who scored a beautiful finish on his debut for the Lillywhites last Tuesday in a friendly versus Burnley.
It would be a fair assessment that many Republic of Ireland fans will be supporting and hoping Preston get promoted to the Premier League this season.
