When it looked like the worst case scenario had just been averted, the Ajax 'keeper Andre Onana made sure Benfica took a 1-0 lead in tonight's Champions League clash between the team.
Receiving a ball to feet, the 22-year-old Cameroonian looked a touch too casual for his own good. Dangerously close to his own goal-line, the Ajax 'keeper managed to rush the ball away before the Benfica attacker bundled the ball in for the opening goal of the night.
You'd have thought when the resulting throw-in made its way into his box, Onana would play this one safe - take no risks, ride it out.
No such luck. Making his way out to the looping ball, the Ajax man horrendously judged the flight of the ball, and, although it wasn't quite a tap-in, Benfica's Jonas will scarcely have an easier attempt at goal tonight.
