Aiden O'Brien grabbed an 89th minute winner for Millwall in their League Cup second round game against Plymouth on Wednesday night.

It was the second goal of the season for the 24-year-old who is part of Martin O'Neill's provisional squad for the games against Wales and Poland next month.

Millwall won the game 3-2 after a scoreless first half. Dubliner Shaun Williams equalised from the penalty spot for Millwall in the 64th minute after Plymouth had taken the lead shortly before the half-time break.

Former Ireland international Daryl Murphy also got on the score sheet on Wednesday. His goal came with some added flavour: it was scored against Newcastle, his former club.

The Waterford man gave Nottingham Forest the lead against the Premier League side after just two minutes as they went on to knockout Rafa Benitez's side 3-1.
