Jurgen Klopp had a very successful summer transfer window this year, with the breaking down of the transfer of Nabil Fekir the only real downside as the club strengthened their squad with the additions of Naby Keita, Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri.
There is still an absence of a Philipe Coutinho type player to pull the strings ahead of Salah, Firmino and Mane although Naby Keita filled that role admirably on Sunday.
But in lieu of this gap in Liverpool's squad L'Equipe are reporting that the Reds will attempt to sign Adrien Rabiot from PSG, and are prepared to wait in order to bring the Frenchman to Anfield.
The 23-year-old's contract at the Ligue 1 champions is in its final year and the player will be allowed to speak to clubs from January onwards with Liverpool hoping to snag the midfielder on a pre-contract agreement before signing the player next summer.
Current PSG boss Thomas Tuchel recently doubt on whether the midfielder will remain in Paris beyond his contract:
It’s not certain if Adrien stays at PSG. It all depends on him.
For me he’s a great player. He can grow even more and become a top player.
Liverpool are also open to the sale of centre back Ragnar Klavan according to Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce. The Estonian is fifth choice at the club behind Virgil Van Djik, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez, who started in Liverpool's 4-0 win against West Ham at the weekend.
The 32-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at the club and could be sold along with the likes of Pedro Chirivella, Lazar Markovic Divock Origi and Simon Mignolet.
