In spite of rumours that Adrien Rabiot was set to be dropped from Paris St Germain's match-day squad after a bust-up with Thomas Tuchel, the French midfielder has been named on the bench for tonight's game against Liverpool.

With his future at the club already clouded by uncertainty, and rumours of a move to Barcelona on the cards, reports had suggested that Rabiot's off-pitch behaviour has given the German coach cause to remove him from tonight's clash.
Slated to appear on the bench this evening, it was understood that a row between Adrien Rabiot and Thomas Tuchel has prompted the manager to leave the midfielder out entirely.
Thomas Tuchel has balls, we all knew that, but I really thought that Adrien Rabiot would feature this evening. Strongest indication yet that the capricious Frenchman has stropped one too many times. Club comes first, so it is a strong call, but the right one 👏🏻 #PSG https://t.co/rbE6nHSDRP

However, when the team was named shortly after 7:00pm this evening, Rabiot was named on the bench as initially expected.
Intriguingly, the Belgian full-back Thomas Meunier was also reportedly set to miss out on the action tonight. Similarly poised to start from the bench, 'personal reasons' have been cited as the reason behind his actual omission.
With a win enough to secure progress to the last-16 for Jurgen Klopp's side, the news will undoubtedly come as a nice surprise.
