When the Champions League final rolls around, you can be sure that a who's who of world football will rock up to whatever city happens to be hosting that season's decider.
UEFA always ensure that some of the biggest names from years gone by are on site to take in the game and make small talk with the various corporate sponsors at events in the buildup to the match itself.
Of course, quite few ex-pros will also be working with TV stations covering the final. Broadcasters from around the globe will attend the final in person, usually bringing with them some big names from their native country.
However, it seems not all of them managed to find their way to Turkey on this occasion.
Adriano misses Champions League final for strange reason
Adriano is a player who knew how to enjoy himself during his playing days and it seems as though that has now continued into his retirement.
The former Inter striker was due to appear on ESPN as a pundit for tonight's Champions League final and was expected to fly out from his native Brazil for the game. However, there was no sign of him on the broadcast.
Cope are reporting that this was due to Adriano missing his flight from Rio De Janeiro to Turkey as a result of some heavy partying in the South American city.
He was seen in at least three different party venues in Rio on Friday evening and was clearly worse enough for wear that he did not make the trip to Istanbul.

A man who knows how to enjoy himself.
Adriano was an icon at Inter during his time at the San Siro and still has close connections to the club. If not for the temptations of Rio, he would have been there cheering them on tonight.
