Unfortunately, those days are long past us, but football ads haven't stopped. Instead, the ads we have now just aren't as good, well, it's either that or Adidas just don't have access to the type of geniuses Nike employ in their marketing department.
Who needs a unique setting, or special effects, when you have David Beckham, Gareth Bale, Lucas and Zidane kicking a ball around a......house, nice one.
What we'd give to see Brazilian and Portuguese players nutmegging each other around a stadium again.
