Norwich City manager David Wagner has sung the praises of Adam Idah for taking on the challenge of joining Celtic on loan back in January.
Idah had been part of the furniture at Norwich since moving over from Cork in 2017 but after falling out of favour in the first half of this season, it was arranged that he would spend the remainder of the campaign at Celtic Park.
The move certainly seems to have lit a fire under the Republic of Ireland striker, as he has contributed seven goals to help put Celtic on the brink of a third successive Scottish Premiership title.
A point for Brendan Rodgers' men away to Kilmarnock on Wednesday night would see them over the line, and Wagner has been speaking about Idah in the build-up to Norwich's play-off semi-final second leg away to Leeds United.
David Wagner praises Adam Idah
"Every manager likes to have good players, and Adam is a very good player," Wagner told Norwich publication The Pink Un. "On him, the decision that we made in the winter window to send him out on loan paid off perfectly.
"I was really backing him when he knocked on my door because I thought this was exactly what he needed to go out of this building and this environment where he knows everybody and everybody knows him and to go for a new challenge.
"He has a talent, but sometimes you need this boost, which you only get when you leave a club and go into another environment. The only thing that has got better after Adam left here is the music in the dressing room, because he is no longer in charge of the music box.
"I really wish him all the best for the final at Celtic to finish at a high."
Adam Idah has just scored an 87th minute goal to sicken the Rangers fans at Ibrox 🔥

Summer options for Adam Idah
Aside for the dig at his music tastes, Idah is sure to appreciate Wagner's kind words. The manager appears to be correct in saying that the change of scene has done the Corkman good, and if he comes back from Glasgow with a league medal then the loan will certainly have been worth it.
Celtic have the option of making Idah's move permanent, if they meet Norwich's valuation of the forward, but if the Canaries manage to seal promotion perhaps he could be tempted to stay down south for another season of Premier League football in England.
