Having been a prolific goalscorer at underage level, it was hoped that Adam Idah would be able to carry that form into senior football at Norwich City. However, having showed some early promise, he has struggled for both goals and playing time over the last few seasons.
It's certainly fair to say that his club career has been rather disappointing up to this point. The Cork native had yet to score more than three league goals in a season prior to the current campaign.
Thankfully, that has improve somewhat this season. The 22-year old has found the back of the net six times in the Championship, although he remains far from a guaranteed starter at Carrow Road.
His career looks like it is in danger of stagnating at the club, although he could be offered the chance to reverse that trend this month.

Idah has found himself out of the Norwich City in recent times, starting only one of the club's last seven league fixtures. He has played in all but one of their Championship outings this season, although the majority of appearances have come off the bench.
A move to the continent could appeal to the player at this stage in his career. Italy, in particular, has proven to be a landing spot for quite a few Irish players in recent times. Festy Ebosele, Kevin Zefi, and Liam Kerrigan are among the Irishmen currently plying their trade in the country.
All three of the clubs interested in the striker find themselves in the bottom half of the Serie A table, with Verona and Sassuolo in danger of relegation. However, it would certainly be interesting to see how Adam Idah would fare in new surroundings.
This is one to keep an eye on over the coming days.
