Arsenal fans all over the World were devastated to learn that their beloved French international midfielder Abou Diaby was released this summer, following nine injury plagued seasons with the club.

Arsene Wenger finally cut his losses on Diaby when he was not offered a new deal and was released last month, but it appears as though he may still have a future in the Premier League as Sky Sports are reporting that the former Arsenal man is on the verge of joining West Brom.

Former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is set to undergo a medical with West Brom this weekend, according to Sky sources.

A medical? No so much a formality for Abou you would think.

Diaby man did manage 16 caps for France when he was fit, and it will be interesting to see if Tony Pulis is convinced of his fitness to the point of offering a contract.
