Aberdeen superfan Norman Goldie passed away after suffering a stroke last week, at the age of 87.
Flowers, scarves and a jersey with Goldie's name on it were laid outside Pittodrie by Norman's fellow Dons supporters.
The life-long Aberdonian became a cultural icon at both Aberdeen's home and away games, across a number of generations, and according to the club, would often be found wearing his Dons gear - even when they weren't playing matches.
Norman's trademark, so to speak, was that he wore one red sock and one white sock - the colours of his beloved club - underneath his sandals.
In quite a touching mark of respect for the great man, Aberdeen have announced that The Red Army will remember and pay tribute to Norman at our final two home matches of the season and the club will also retire his seat in the Merkland Stand.
Fittingly, his seat has also been painted half red and half white, in memory of his famous socks.
According to the club:
As long as the Dons remain at Pittodrie, that seat will never be sold.
