Today saw the announcement of the official UEFA Champions League Goal Of The Season, and it's wrong. It's all wrong.
An "expert panel" were assembled to deduce which was the best goal scored in this season's competition, and they clearly hate Arsenal and Wales, because Aaron Ramsey's utterly sublime first-time, left-foot, still-rising thunderbastard of a volley as not selected as number one.
It wasn't even in top five!
An absolute work of art. Not good enough to make the top five goals of the year? It came in at number six on the official UEFA.com voting, which judged this effort from Ronaldo at Anfield to be number one:
Is there any justice in the World?
Perhaps this is karma for Arsenal fans voting Jack Wilshere's goal on the final day the Premier League goal of the season. And you have to think if it was an online poll then Arsenal players would have occupied all of the top five spots.
Still, we just love that Ramsey goal.
