Brighton's 3-0 win against Spurs on Saturday afternoon is a result Aaron Connolly will never forget.
The Galway teenager scored twice on his first Premier League start as his side piled the pressure on Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
After Neal Maupay opened the scoring after three minutes, Connolly doubled Brighton's advantage half an hour later when his flick was saved by Paulo Gazzaniga and he then put in the rebound.
The 19-year-old added his second after 65 minutes, running at Toby Alderweireld and then curling a shot into the bottom right-hand corner.
"It's probably the best moment of my career so far," Connolly told beIN Sport after the game.
It's a proud moment.
The gaffer has us playing a certain way. We've put that game plan right into it today. We've got the win, we've got the three goals.
The performances were there since the first game of the season. It's good that's it's all coming off and, thankfully, I've scored two as well.
When you're playing, you don't feel like you have that much space. Spurs press, they're intense. We were just the better team on the day and we did deserve it.
On the pitch immediately after the game, the Ireland U21 international told BT Sport that his performance was a "dream come through".
"I've watched it since I was four or five maybe, watching Premier League years all the time," said Connolly.
"To be playing in it and scoring in it is indescribable.
"I didn't really know how to celebrate [the second goal]. I just thought I'd run away. I can't really put it into words. I'm speechless at the minute."
"I was watching Premier League Years all the time, to be playing it in and scoring, it's a dream come true."
