Aaron Connolly is an injury doubt for Ireland's games against New Zealand and Denmark.

Ireland play the former in a friendly on Thursday and then, far more importantly, a Euro 2020 qualifier against the latter on November 18th.

Brighton striker Connolly played 45 minutes for his club against Manchester United on Sunday. The 19-year-old was taken off at half-time suffering with a groin injury.

"Aaron will have a scan on Monday morning," said Ireland manager Mick McCarthy.

Our medical team have been in contact with Brighton and when we have the results on Monday, we will know more.

McCarthy last week named a 28-man squad for the games.
