Preston North End are reportedly considering a move for Shamrock Rovers midfielder, Aaron Bolger.
The 18-year-old, an Ireland U19 international, is under contract at the Tallaght Stadium until next year.
According to the Irish Independent's Daniel McDonnell, the Championship side are "mulling over" acquiring Bolger's services in the New Year.
Preston have made plenty of signings from the League of Ireland in recent years with Seani Maguire and Alan Browne the most successful so far.
Graham Burke was signed from Shamrock Rovers during the summer but is yet to make a substantial mark at the club. Kevin O'Connor also joined from Cork City around the same time. He is currently on loan at Crewe.
Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle were both brought in from Dundalk in January of last year. Horgan has since left for Hibs while Boyle is on loan at Dundee.
Bolger made his breakthrough into the Shamrock Rovers senior squad two years ago. His debut, which made him the first League of Ireland player born in the new millennium, came against Cork City in the FAI Cup.
