Three Ireland ran a competition recently the prize for which was a Skype call from Robbie Keane to the person of your choice abroad.
What could have been a nicer, more Christmassy and less awkward prize than a call from our captain and all time leading scorer? Personally, I would've been hoping for a boiler service.
Rob Lee won the competition and chose to ring some friends of his in Australia.
If I ever immigrate to Australia and receive a Skype call from Robbie Keane, the least that I am expecting is him to perform his trademark carthweel and tumble celebration for me. I don't want to hear him talking about the terrible Irish weather, that's probably why I left. Or maybe it was the lack of secure employment.
Either way, Robbie needs to up his game for future Skype calls or he might be replaced by Shane Long. You know, just like for the Irish soccer team.
