The New Mesut Ozil Song Was Belted Out At Bournemouth And West Ham Fans Are Furious

Arsenal navigated a tricky trip to Dean Court and left with three points as they secured a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Mesut Ozil opened the scoring on 22 minutes, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled the lead no more than a minute later, and Arsene Wenger's men held on to go level with Tottenham, but it was a different London club's fans who were left pissed off after watching the match.

Notorious for their terribly unoriginal chants, the Arsenal fans took West Ham's Dimitri Payet song and popped Mesut Ozil's name in instead, which they then proceeded to belt out after the German bagged his goal.

We’ve got Ozil, Mesut Ozil, I just don’t think you understand. He’s Arsene Wenger’s man, he’s better than Zidane. We’ve got Mesut Ozil.

West Ham fans were outraged. Having collectively gone through the arduous creative task of taking a well known song and putting a football player's name in it, nobody else is allowed to sing in this tune, apparently.

The unfortunate irony that the tune in question has long been sang on the terraces at both Newcastle and Celtic seemingly lost on those who were outraged.
