The Sun and their apologies. It's a rocky old road. The king of the English tabloids has been known to, on occasion, get things wrong from time to time. It happens. However, the apologies that the Sun are forced to print are not on the grandest of scales. There's even a popular twitter account dedicated to finding the apologies and bringing them to a wider audience. The Sun Apolgies mission is as follows;
Making sure The Sun's tiny 'Corrections and Clarifications' column is read far and wide. Any other inaccuracies gladly highlighted too.
Then of course there's the main reason The Sun is so reviled across a large portion of the English population, it's treatment of the Hillsborough disaster and the subsequent refusal to apologise for their coverage. The story has been told a million times by now so there's no need to delve into the whys and wherefores of it but suffice to say, that apology took quite a while to come. It wasn't until 2012 that they published the 'real truth' and a 'profound apology'.
So, it's in light of that storied history of apologies that the following back page is being picked apart today.

Well at least it's not hidden away where no one can see it. It would be fair to say that Apollo Gees, the author of the above article, has well and truly torn Louis Van Gaal and his demands for an apology asunder.
The Man United boss walked out of a press conference yesterday after asking reports 'Has anybody in this room not a feeling to apologise to me?'. Well there you go Louis.
