Is hindsight remarkable or what? Lacey, one of the best footballers in Ireland, was available at 80/1 on the eve of Donegal's All-Ireland quarterfinal against Kerry. You could have got Donegal to win the All-Ireland at what - 12s? 13s? Brilliant bet by Ronan Farrell. Rather than back Donegal - who were the best team in the country in July but still had to navigate Kerry, Cork and (most presumed) Dublin to win Sam - Ronan backed their best player at around 6 times better odds.
