Fifteen years after Robbie, Inter Milan are back signing Irish players again. Ryan Nolan, a 15 year old from Shannon in Clare, has signed a three year deal with Inter Milan.
According to the Clare Herald, he lived in Ballcasey until the age of 9 before moving to Spain. For the past year, he has played underage football for Torre Pacheco. It was they who announced his move to Inter today.
Football Italia reported that Nolan has played for the Ireland U15 national side but this is apprently not true. The FAI have indicated they will seek clarification on his eligibility and whether he has an interest in playing for Ireland. He can operate at both full back and centre back.
He is the third Irish player to join Inter after Liam Brady and Robbie - the former enjoying a rather longer and more fruitful period at the club.
