It seems Leeds fans are forever destined to be the butt of jokes from the rest of the footballing fraternity. Sure, there's plenty of teams that go true tough spells but few are as mired in turmoil as the Yorkshire club. Then Massimo Cellino took charge and it was all ramped up to a whole new level.
Having sacked, re-hired and sacked Brian McDermott, Cellino looked to have found his puppet in Dave Hockaday before dismissing him (after six games) two months ago in favour of Darko Milanic.
You'd have thought Milanic would at least last longer than the former Forest Green boss, but no. It's taken just another six games for the Slovenian to be shown the revolving door at Elland Road.
With all that going on you can forgive the Leeds Twitter account for not being privvy to the news until the final moment. After they were promptly defeated 2-1 at home to Wolves today, Milanic was looking forward to better times.
Milanic is confident of turning things around: “Results have not been good, but we’ve played good football in these six games." #lufc
