53 years is an awful long time in football, but St. Pats fans won't need reminding of that fact. 1961 was the last time the Saints lifted the FAI Cup and with another chance to end the hoodoo this Sunday, nerves are sure to be approaching fever pitch.
Sunday's final against Derry City is sure to be a tense affair for all involved but at least St Pats can take comfort in knowing that the The Wire's Bunk Moreland is firmly behind them.
Last year, Wendell Pierce, who also stars in Suits and Treme, revealed the surprising news that he considers himself a fan of Inchicore's finest. At the time many might have thought he was paying lip service, but, if his Twitter account is anything to go by, he is firmly invested ahead of the final.
