Chelsea are out of the Champions League. They played the majority of their second leg tie against PSG with a one man advantage (after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was harshly sent off) and an away goal advantage.

Neither were enough though. Two brilliant headers, one from David Luiz late in normal time and another from Thiago Silva late in extra time put the French team though.

When coverage moved back to the RTÉ studio, the panel were extremely negative about Jose Mourinho. This is what John Giles had to say about the Portuguese.

He's been a great coach but an evil presence in many ways.

Giles cited Chelsea's eagerness to influence referees as a particular example of this villainy.

Eamon Dunphy went on to call the Chelsea boss a "cancer" and a "cowardly bully".
