Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed he read the Man United fans' plane banner that flew over Villarreal's El Madrigal Stadium at the weekend.
Ronaldo told Gazetta dello Sport, 'How could I not see that plane? It flew past 10 times.' It's sounds a little like he was as annoyed about it as we were. Although, ever the politician, Ronaldo then quickly pointed out how honoured he is to be held in such high regard.:
I always said that I have a family to Manchester but I'm good in Madrid. I'm glad of the affection that United fans have for me, it means that I have left good memories.
I would say the chances of Ronaldo coming back to United in the near future are about slim to duck egg but sure what do I know? I once bought Radostin Kishishev for United on Championship Manager.
