Liverpool's social media team decided to grace us with a video of the first team's star players having a go at famous movie quotes, and rather than just post the video, we felt it was worth some more in-depth analysis.
In fact, the video was so enjoyable in parts, and awkward in others, that we learned some valuable lessons from taking just over five minutes to watch professional footballers show why they never fancied themselves as actors.
1. Lucas is a seriously good sport.
Fair play to him. He knows he's going to look a bit silly but he takes the piss out of himself and it's highly enjoyable. His use of 'lad' at the end of the occasional sentence suggests he should live out the rest of his life on Merseyside.
2. Jordan Henderson has the personality of a fish.
The only person who said the quotes completely deadpan, like he was issuing a 'No To Racism' statement, is Jordan Henderson. It's ok to have a bit of fun like...
3. Philippe Coutinho is adorable.
Bless his little cotton socks.
4. Joe Allen is aware of how goofy he is.
Again, fair play to Joe for just having some fun. If you can embrace your awkwardness you'll do just fine.
5. Jon Flanagan is hilariously scouse.
Amazing.
"Me ma alwees sed lifes lych a bochs of zshockholates..."
6. Jurgen Klopp does a frighteningly good 'Terminator'.
This should probably be posted every time Liverpool win a match from now on. It's excellent.
7. Mamadou Sakho is great entertainment.
Well we knew this already, but what a performance. He absolutely owned it.
Here's the video in full, also featuring a confused Emre Can, Nathanial Clyne, and Simon Mignolet who must be commended for doing his best:
