Christmas has come early in the Heskey household. The former England striker has signed a deal to play for his old Leicester City teammate Neil Lennon at Bolton Wanderers.
Lennon had spoken last week about the possibility of signing Heskey once he showed he was in good enough physical shape, and today the club confirmed that he has indeed joined on a short term deal.
The ex-Celtic manager has spoken about how having Heskey and other 'mature' signing Eidur Gudjohnsen around the place has had a hugely positive effect on the rest of the team. So while he may not make a big impact on the scoresheet, Lennon certainly thinks he can make a difference and given Bolton's recent form, who are we to argue with him?
