6 Transfer Deadline Day Deals You May Have Missed As They Went Right Down To The Wire

Much to the disappointment of Jim White and the Sky Sports News deadline day circus, Manchester United didn't sign Gareth Bale, Arsenal didn't sign Karim Benzema, Chelsea didn't sign John Stones, and Liverpool and Manchester City kept their hands firmly in their pockets as the clock ticked closer and closer to the 6pm deadline.

Despite this clear lack of activity for the big clubs, the Sky Sports News reporters continued to talk loudly and slowly and things that MIGHT happen, so much so that many of those watching missed a few of the actual deals that did go through right at the deadline.

Whether you were unfortunate enough to watch the live feed of Big Ben at 6pm, or whether you were off doing something else with your life, here are 6 deals you may have missed as they went right down to the wire:

Tiago Llori: Liverpool to Aston Villa

Another one of those recent Liverpool signings you kind of forgot existed, since he arrived at the club in 2013 he's been loaned out twice (Villa being his third loan deal) and is yet to make a senior appearance. Maybe he'll make his Premier League debut at Villa.

Aaron Lennon: Tottenham Hotpur to Everton

The fee for this one is being reported as £4.5m. Bad news for Aiden McGeady of course who looks like he won't see much playing time, but sure he loves a January transfer window anyway.

Tomas Andrade: River Plate to Bournemouth

The path from River Plate to Bournemouth is not the most travelled, but sure enough Eddie Howe has brought in the young winger as cover for Max Gradel who will likely spend the next six months out injured.

Nathan Dyer: Swansea to Leicester

The only reason Nathan Dyer couldn't seem to get in the Swansea team was due to the exceptional form of Andre Ayew, which is fair enough. Leicester have added another talented attacker to their side, and continue to look to utilise frightening pace on the counter, because why would they stop after the start they have had?

Victor Ibarbo: AS Roma to Watford

Easily the most annoying player in the history of EA Sports' FIFA franchise, Victor Ibarbo is switching Serie A for the Premier League because he's not as good in real life as he is on FIFA 15. If he was as good as he is on FIFA 15 then he would have signed for Barcelona, but instead he's off to Watford. Let's see if he can get them some goals.

DeAndre Yedlin: Tottenham Hotspur to Sunderland

A star for the USMNT in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, DeAndre Yedlin couldn't quite make the breakthrough at Spurs, so Sunderland have offered him the chance to prove himself in the Premier League. He's frighteningly quick, and Sunderland need all the help at the back they can get, so this appears to be a good move for all parties concerned.
