Noel Gallagher, of Oasis fame, and perhaps the most famous Man City fan out there, has declared his love for Roy Keane while talking on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show this morning.
Gallagher made a point of saying that he doesn't read footballer's autobiographies but spoke about enjoying the extracts from Keane's The Second Half:
I’ve liked reading the excerpts from Roy Keane’s book particularly him slagging off Ferguson who might be one of the most hateful people I’ve ever come across. I’ve enjoyed that.
Although he captained their bitter rivals, Gallagher is a big fan of Keane:
I love Roy Keane. I actually liked him when he was at United but then he signed for Celtic... I’ve never met him and I wouldn’t mind meeting him and shake his hand while standing back a little bit in case he head-butted you.
He also said he hoped that one day Keane will become United manager and 'run them into the ground.'
