First Division Club Could Take Bray's Place in LOI Premier Division

Bray Wanderers looks set to lose their place in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland having not been granted a licence.

Following a meeting of the Independent Club Licensing Committee of the Football Association of Ireland, the body tasked with awarding licences, 12 Premier Division licences and four First Division licences have been awarded today, notably Waterford United for the top division were awarded a licence but Bray Wanderers were not. Bray have been asked for clarification in relation to its application and have five days to submit an appeal.

As things stand however Waterford United will compete in the Premier League in 2015.

Athlone and Cobh have also not been granted a licence, however in their cases, simple clarifications have been asked for. Waterford finished seventh of eight in last year's First Division.
