5 Things We Learned From A Snapshot Of Mourinho's Desk At Old Trafford

Jose has arrived and there is a noticeable buzz around Old Trafford ahead of the change in direction that the 'Special One' is hoping to bring to Manchester United.

It appears as though he has already had an effect, too, as the signing of Eric Bailly being confirmed all of three days after word of a possible deal broke shows us that things are already changing at the club.

Mourinho has also changed, as he has set up an Instagram account since becoming United boss, and it's been quite enjoyable thus far. On Wednesday we were treated to a glimpse inside the gaffer's office and a look at his desk as he prepares for pre-season.

Here is what we learned.

1. He has his own Jose Mourinho-Man United pencil case.

This is remarkable. Was he gifted this by a fan? Or by a young relative? Or did Jose really go and print a picture of himself next to the United logo on a pencil case?

It's fantastic. It's like something a Leaving Cert student would bring into an exam.

2. He is analysing every sideways pass that United played last year.

It's clear that Mourinho wants to know every little trait that was introduced under Van Gaal, and United fans will be hoping he goes about ironing them out of their style of play going forward.

3. The man still uses a 'Blackberry'.

One of the few who despise the 'touchpad' keyboard so much that he insists on physical buttons. Clearly a man of principle.

4. He doesn't want us to see what he's currently working on.

Secretive.

You can't help but wonder what he has scribbled under there.

5. He is seriously excited about this job.

We knew that already, but a fully motivated Mourinho should have the United fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming season.

He's wanted this job for a long time, and not needing a summer break will give him a head start that neither Moyes nor Van Gaal were afforded.

The pencil case is just glorious.
